Havok will determine loot awards using a Dragon Kill Point (DKP) system. All attendees for a raid will earn DKP points.
Goals for our DKP System
Havok leadership believes that successful raiding depends upon good, mature, and conscientious players. With this in mind, Havok seeks to offer fair loot and raid rules that enable success. Success is based on continuity. We want all players to have an opportunity to advance their characters but the advancement of core raid members is crucial to Havok's continued success. We ask that all members who raid with us realize that while we seek to enable them, key raid positions, main tank and assist tank, have loot priority in some occasional instances. Also, players who participate more regularly, thus fufilling a core raid position, will have a small advantage in earning dkp. The improvement of key raid positions allows more content to be mastered which benefits all raid members.
Earning points
Havok and Alliance Members
Members that are at the raid starting point on time, repaired and with all necessary potions, poisons, etc. shall earn 1 point
Members shall receive 1 point for attending the raid
Members that are there from the beginning until the end of the raid shall earn an additional 2 points
Backup Members shall receive 2 points if they are online during the entire raid and ready to be called in if needed. Backup members earn normal points if they attend the raid.
Points that are earned at a raid may not be spent until after the raid is completed.
Negative points
A member may go into negative DKP under the following circumstances:
A fabled item drops that is an upgrade for them that no other raid member needs. In this event, the member shall be charged 4 DKP.
A master spell or combat ability drops that is an upgrade for them that no other raid member needs. In this event, the member shall be charged 2 DKP.
Members that have negative points may not bid on loot while their points are in a negative state.
Bonus points
Core raid force members that are present for the guild first killing of a raid named shall be awarded a 1 point bonus.
Loot distribution
Legendary
Legendary loot shall be awarded via a random by all that can use. There will be no DKP deduction for this type of loot.
Fabled/Masters
Masters shall be randomed among those present that can scribe the spell/ability. A member must have met the minimum attendance requirements for the previous 30 days to roll. 2 DKP shall be deducted for each master.
Fabled Gear shall be awarded via an open bidding system:
The raid officer shall announce which classes may bid on an item.
There will be an initial 60 second time period for those that need to bid on the item. Minimum starting bid shall be 2 points.
Fifteen seconds after the last bid, the bidding shall be closed and the loot shall be awarded to the member who bid the highest number of points.
Once a member wins a fabled item, they may not bid on another for the duration of the raid unless no other core raid force member can use.
Main Tanks
Due to the importance of tanks and their equipment in relation to the success of raiding, the following special rule has been put into place:
The core raid force MT and OT shall each have 1 free pass per raid night as long as they are Havok guild members. In the event that an item drops that they want, they may use the pass to bypass bidding and claim the item. In such a case, the person shall be charged 4 DKP for the item. In the event that both tanks want to use their pass on the same item, the officers present will determine who is awarded the item. In the event that the tank has the highest DKP in the guild, his DKP total will be adjusted down to 90 percent of the member who is number two.
Unused loot
Any loot such as masters, random vendor drops, gear not bid on, etc. shall be taken by the raid loot officer. Items that are no trade shall be transmuted. Vendor trash will be sold and anything that can, will be placed on the broker.
All funds shall go to the raid bank fund to pay for raid expendables.
* On items that can be used by more than one class, officers will determine which class or classes is most appropriate, taking raid role into consideration. The officers have final say in all loot decisions, and reserve the right to determine how loot is awarded when circumstances demand. In the event that a member is awarded a fabled item, the DKP cost to the member shall be 4 points.
